My 92 Old's Bravada is becomeing my worst nightmare, it has a 4.3 W code engine. every 6 months ( or less ) it's back in the shop with an elec./emission problem. My last and most costly problem is the engine sputters and cutsout within the mid range of the throttle, it's fine at an idle and great when floored.
This has been ongoing for about 2 years, I have had it in the Old's shop, GM shop, and a local shop, I have had the ECM replaced twice and fuel injector replacement and the problem continues to return. whatever Temp. sensor that makes the gauge register on the dash quit working but the Local shop told me it's not part of the ECM loop ( indication only ) Help I need a new idea ?
( I would get rid of it, But I enjoy everything else about it )

Is it throwing any codes? Throttle position sensor?

I was told any codes relayed were not related to the engine problem ?

I seem to remember a problem with the fuel pump pressure regulator that affected the 4.3 engines in S-10 Blazers / GMC Jimmy / Olds Bravada in 1991 -92.

I'll dust off the cobwebs and try to remember what I heard and where.

One thing I learned with my 98 is that if there is a problem, mechanical or otherwise it is always a good idea to check for error codes & clear them out as practically everything in some way affects or is affected by the computer. Around the five year mark before I replaced my battery I was getting fluctuations in voltage. After I put the new battery in, my truck was not running well. I managed to get it over to a local autozone and had them plug their code reader in. It had a couple error codes which they cleared out for me and it ran just fine. Just my 2 cents. I'm not a mechanic.
